Allowed out

As the 2 cade (pronounced cadee - orphaned in Orcadian) lambs , Igor and Isla - we are on the I's this year  -  are getting bigger , its time to be let out .

The weather was a bit inclement this morning

But by mid afternoon the snow had gone so the 2 cade lambs had their time outside

And then they needed their evening bottle

And as the weather continues to improve they will be out again tomorrow

2000 and counting

The existing abattoir in Orkney  closed in January. Talsk to reopen/build a replacemnt have been going on since then but have come to nothing .
We are affected, but nowhere near as much as the  people on North Ronaldsay .

This blog post about how the closure will affect North Ronaldsay has received so far  2000  page views,

And one of the comments from someone on N Ron:

"Thank you for writing this blog. As a resident in North Ronaldsay it makes a huge difference to us to know that someone is hearing our pleas and taking our message forward"

A reward will be offered

There has been a crime.  A reward will be offered

The crime scene

The evidence

a plastic container containing £6.70 (4.00 float and 2.70 from egg purchases)  was removed  between the hours of 9pm on Wed 6th April 2016 and 6am on Thursday 7th April .

The remaining eggs ( 12 hen eggs) were left.

The police have been informed .

Very strange.

Someone has come past in a car.  In the middle of the night . In the dark. On an unlit road.

Why didn't they remove the entire contents of the box. Or even the box as well ?

A psychological profile  of the suspect

They are clearly not egg-lovers.
And have a need for loose change.

There will be a reward for any information  regarding the whereabouts of our 6.70 and its clear plastic  container.
